Introduction
In the last years I was several times in Indonesia and had the opportunity to visit many interesting places.
I spent some time in Bali, then visiting universities in Yogyakarta, Bandung and Jakarta and recently I
visited Sumatra and Borneo (East Kalimatan).

[Bali]:
Holidays in Bali (Legian) and one conference in Nusa Dua.

[Bali "Monkeys"]:
Bali is a small island, but has a lot of attractive places. Some of the places like Uluwatu and Ubud allow
close contact to monkeys.

[Yogyakarta City]:
Some impressions of the city of Yogyakarta, a city with a lot of historical places.

[Yogyakarta Watercastle]:
The Watercastle from the Sultan; In very bad shape these days.

[Borobudur]:
Borobudur is a remarkable Buddhist Temple near Yogyakarta.

[Prambanan]:
Prambanan is a very important Hindu-temple; it is also located near to Yogya and Borobudur

[Bandung]:
Bandung is a city near Jakarta; The climate is milder than in Jakarta. I was several times in Bandung and
also had the opportunity to visit the tea plantation and a volcano nearby.

[Bandung Pasar Baru]:
As bazaars are among my most favorite motives, I also had to visit the old bazaar (pasar baru).

[Borneo, East-Kalimatan: Balipapan]:
A few impressions from Balikpapan and surrounding like an Urang Utan reservation.

[Sumatra, Lake Toba and Samosir]:
In 2007 I visited Sumatra, the lake toba-area. These photos give an impression mainly on Samosir island
which is an island in lake toba. Samosir has, though "only" an island in a lake, a size of approx.
Singapore.

[Near Lake Toba: Siborongborong Market]:
During my stay at lake toba I could visit an impressive local market in a village called Siborongborong.

[Jakarta]:
Jakarta is the capital of Indonesia with approx 10 million people. I have to confess, that Jakarta is not my
favorite place in Indonesia, however, some few impressions.
